MUSICIAN'S GEAR

I get asked most of the time of what equipment I use or which ones I like.

So I've listed a few below and will keep adding necessary stuff that we can use in our daily performances.

TC Helicon Voice Live Play

There's a reason why this is on top of my list.

I usually never ever go on a gig without this.

I'm not hating any sound engineer out there, but sometimes, singers need that extra boost, and I like using my own sound.  Just like guitarist has their own pedal effects.  It's where they save their sound and makes performing so much easier and comfortable.

Boss RC 505

Reasons why you should have this looper:

  • Tabletop Loop Station that can be operated with the hands, perfect for beatboxers, vocalists, and club performers

  • Five simultaneous stereo phrase tracks, with dedicated controls and independent volume faders

  • Wide range of Input FX and Track FX for processing loops, including DJ and sampler-style effects

  • 99 phrase memories, each containing five phrase tracks, custom effects/playback settings, and more

  • 85 onboard rhythm patterns, including odd-measure beats

QSC K8.2 Active 8" Powered 2000 watt Loud Speaker

The sounds of these speakers are amazingly clear.
I take this anywhere especially as my own stage monitor as I hear every detail of the song.

With a coverage of 105° Axisymetric and just 2db less than the bigger brother K10, it's small yet powerful!

Pioneer DJM 900 NXS2

Pioneer mixers are one of the most reliable mixers I have ever used.

From DJM800 to DJM900NXS (which I still use by the way)

As a professional DJ & Singer, working with an instrumentalist like a saxophonist, we need a dedicated 2 mic input for our sound.

More reasons why I love Pioneer mixers like this:

  • Professional club standard 4-channel DJ Mixer

  • High quality audio 64-bit mixing processor for a warm, natural analog sound

  • 96kHz/24-bit sound card with no loss of quality

  • independent SEND/RETURN for external hardware

  • 4 PHONO inputs and DVS support for turntables

Another mixer that I like is the Traktor S8.

On some gigs is quite helpful to have lots of effects and sounds you can easily control.

And also, it helps with not staring at the computer too much, you can see it on the screen right in front of you.

I like playing with this mixer as there's a lot you can do with it.

  • Full-integrated 4-deck TRAKTOR controller including TRAKTOR SCRATH PRO 2 software

  • 30 touch-sensitive knobs and faders for intuitive control over TRAKTOR software

  • 2 bright, full-color displays reveal pop-ups displays, views, and panels

  • Touch strip provides tactile control over track position, pitch bend and more

  • Quickly access track BPM and Key as well as FX, Filter and Remix Deck parameters

IK Multimedia iKlip Xpand universal mic stand support for iPad and tablets

Most gigging musicians and singer now use iPad or tablets.

This is the latest one available that looks strong enough to hold any size of iPads and tablets including the iPad Pro!

  • Universal expandable microphone stand mount for all tablets and iPad models and generations

  • Expandable arms can hold all popular tablets sized 7" to 12.1"
